Hello,
Today I'm having an issue with the webcam on my Dell XPS 17 Laptop. I believe the issue is that the driver cannot be installed but when I went to the driver support page and downloaded the "Quanta H.264 integrate webcam" driver, the webcam still does not show up in the device manager. I believe "Imaging Devices" is supposed to appear but nothing is there. I even downloaded the software Dell Webcam Central and it says there is no webcam to support. I'm running Windows 7, and this problem actually started a while ago when I re-installed my entire OS, though it may have occurred before I did a OS reboot (I'm not entirely sure). I never really used the webcam so I can't really remember when it stopped working, but I do remember using it when I first got the laptop and it was working fine. The microphone seems to not be working as well which I don't understand. I called Dell but they were not much help. Please anyone here having or experienced this issue in the past and is willing to help me out. Any ideas are welcome.
