I have an Inspiron N5110 with windows 7. This morning I just shut it to put it in sleep mode. Tonight when I got home I opened it an left the room and a couple minutes later I heard beeping. When I looked at my laptop the screen was blank but the power button and the power and internet lights at the bottom were on. The fan was also louder than normal. I tried to turn it off by holding the power button but it didn't turn off it just made the beeping stop and the fan go back to normal for maybe 30 seconds after I let go of the button. I've taken the battery out because even closing it wouldn't turn it off. Hopefully there is a solution.
