I have a Dell Inspiron 1525 (bought in 2008) which came with Vista. It had Dell Webcam Central with integrated webcam and microphone. I have been trying various OS on my laptop ever since. Windows 7 worked fine by installing the same driver. Last year I installed Windows 8 Release Preview which comes with preloaded drivers and hence my webcam as well as microphone worked well and I didn't install any specific drivers for them. In beginning of this year I installed Windows 8 final release and somehow never got a chance to use webcam. Yesterday when I tried running Skype I realised that these are not working. I tried Sound recorder which ran but didn't record any sound and camera app said "Webcam in use by another app." I installed old driver -Creative Labs Dell Webcam Manager, v.PRC2.0, A04 and installed it with XP compatibility. Sound recorder is still doesn't records anything whereas, Camera app takes me to blue screen.
Can anyone please suggest some solution which will resolve my issue.
