Like several other users of the 7520, I am also having problems with the switchable graphics on my computer. I have Win 8, and both the Radeon 7730M and the HD 4000 are installed. Then I chose some 3D games to use the Radeon at the menu "Configure Switchable Graphcis". I select them to use the "High Performance" card, i.e., the Radeon. Then I open the game, and it runs with the HD 4000! It doesn`t even recognize the Radeon, so there is no way of switching it in game.
I spent several hours today reading about this issue here at this forum, and it seems that several people are on the same boat. So far, there was no official solution from Dell, as far as I know. This is very frustrating, after spending a lot of money on a last generation computer I am obliged to waste time with this kind of issues... the ironic side is that my old notebook run those games BETTER than the HD 4000 does...
Also, I tried to contact the Dell Chat and I allowed the Support Agent to view my screen. After more than half an hour of work, he simply couldn't solve it either. So the question is, what should we do? How can I have the high performance computer that I paid for?
