Hi all,
I recently installed fresh copy of XP with SP3 Integrated. I do the usual procedure and install video after chipset.
The drivers finish installing however any application that calls direct draw to render runs HURRENDOUSLY SLOW.
This did not happen on previous install!
The chipset i believe is<ADMIN NOTE: Service tag removed per privacy policy>
. The current bios is 'version A10'. I upgraded Bios A10 during previous install.
For some reason, the latest available drivers for chipset is A09 and even worse, for video A08.
Perhaps I should try rolling bios back to A08 and try to locate the A08 chipset driver?
Can dell support please provide the link to archived/alternative driver versions?
I realise XP is an old OS and many updates have been applied to these drivers accommodate newer Windows but XP does what I need already.
Any help in advance much appreciated.
