I see that the first question that is asked is, "have you recently re-installed Windows?" My answer is yes but that was almost a year ago. Since that time I have not noticed any system problems that could be traced to driver issues. I never had occasion to use the integrated webcam. So now when I would like to begin using it, I cannot find how to turn it on.
I looked in "device manager" and cannot find the webcam. In fact there is no listing for "input".
Further an installation of "webcam central" and then opening that program tells me that "it cannot find a support webcam".
OK - so if I make the assumption that the re-install of windows was done incorrectly, how do I proceed to correct that error?
I am using Windows 7 Home Premium and it has been updated this week. The system has an Intel Core i7 2630QM CPU clocked at 2.00 GHz. It has 8 GB of RAM. The operating system is Windows Home Premium 64 bit.
