Hi there,
I bought an Inspiron 15 5000 Series a couple of weeks ago. It was shipped with Windows 8.1 and only comes with an HDMI port, so I also bought an adapter to connect it to an extra monitor I have that only works with VGA.
Problem is whenever I plug or unplug the adapter the resolution of my main screen changes, and suddenly Windows kick me out of my session, so everything gets closed and I'm prompted again with the loggin screen.
I already tried downloading two of the video drivers suggested by the Dell site when I specify my service tag, and none of them solve the problem.
Any ideas on the problem?
