Yesterday my Dell Inspiron 15 7000 went into sleepmode after 30 minutes (or something) of inactivity. When I moved the mouse, the laptop 'woke up', yet immediately after the laptop shuts down entirely. After this occured my laptop refuses to start. Pressing the power button simply does nothing.
I went to do some research and read on the forums that I had to reset my computer. I disconnected my laptop from the power source, took out the battery, pushed power button for some minutes, put the battery back in and tried to power up the computer. This actually worked, my computer can restart through this proces. After about 10-40 minutes (randomly) the computer shuts down again, and I have to go through this entire proces again. Obviously it is not solving the problem,.
Afterwards I tried the following, with no results however:
- Resetted BIOS-settings to default
- Put the laptop back in time, to a point where it used to be working, (through System Recovery)
- Also ran the Dell Diagnostics, however no problem(s) seemed to be detected.
Additionaly, I didn't update any software on the laptop lately.
I have no clue on what to do next,
I still have warranty on the laptop so I might just send it back to have it reviewed by experts. But since I really need the laptop for my work/study I prefer not to.
Therefore, I would like to ask if anyone has the solution or any suggestions that might help me out!
On forehand,
Thanks
