I have a Dell XPS 15 (9530) laptop with both the discrete Nvidia GeForce 750M (2 GB) & Integrated 4600 Intel graphic cards. I also have an external Dell UP2414Q connected via a DisplayPort 1.2 cable (1.2 is enabled on the monitor). All of this is running Windows 8.1 Pro. Possibly relevant, the laptop has 16gb ram + i7-4702HQ CPU.
Here comes my question: The monitor is suppose to be able to do 4k @ 60 Hz if using DP1.2 and the discrete card. Under Screen resolution I just get 2 external monitor (1920x2160 each). So the monitor is essential two screens in one complete with two taskbars and two desktop images. I do notice that under Advanced Settings of the Screen Resolution it shows the display is using the integrated Intel card, not the discrete card, which I am guessing is the issue. Does anyone know how to make it use the discrete card instead so I get one 4k @ 60 Hz enabled screen?
Side Note - I have installed all of the most recent driver updates for the NVidia card and all windows updates.
