Hi All,
I have already done some extensive searching, but all me efforts so far have been fruitless.
First, the problem:
I have the half life version of Counter Strike Source. I can launch the application, but when I choose to "launch counter strike source" it open the game up then immdiately kicks me out giving me the following error message:
"Engine Error Available memory less than 128MB!!! -1"
So I checked my system settings and I have way at least 7 gigs available free memory (i have 8 gigs of ram). My video processor is only running 64MB. I did searches to say I should adjust that in the BIOS, but when I tried that I found no option to change it. I also searched on this forum and found that someone said the 64MB is just the frame buffer and not memory. the guy also went on further to say that you cannot adjust the memory and that the system takes as required. source: en.community.dell.com/.../19594741
I am running windows 7 64bit, standard intel HD graphics 4000 with 8 gigs of ram. I dont understand how I do not have enough memory.
i tried running the same file on the following models: E5410 and E6400 both of which are lower grade models compared to my laptop and the game ran flawlessly. I ran it on my home pc which is running xp and it also ran flawlessly with onboard graphics and 2gig ram
I would really like some assistance on how to be able to run the game on my laptop
