I am using a Vostro 2520 Windows 8 Pro with Intel HD Graphics 3000. The machine - software and all - worked fine until I was forced by Microsoft to upgrade to Windows 8.1. Some rather annoying very intermittent random appearance of fuzzy, blurry, coloured lines keep appearing on the LCD display, smudging and displacing the display image. This makes the computer unusable. To be clear, I uploaded some images and some videos to make it clear what I'm experiencing.
I have connected the machine on another monitor and there was no problem. I have ran the diagnostic tests recommended by DELL and the tests were all passed. I was forced to re-install Windows to get it back to Windows 8.
So far, I've had my LCD replaced, the motherboard replaced and one of the cables connecting the LCD to the mother board replaced (I cannot remember the name of the cable!). I even had DELL look at the device but all they could do was re-install Windows 8, which I have done about three times (I even "broke" the hard drive in the process on one occasion!). Updating the drivers did not fix the issue. I therefore had to uninstall the display drivers, which did not fix the issue either. I also updated the bios.
It appears neither DELL nor Microsoft nor Intel seem to have a solution.
And looking at these posts, there are many having this problem.
Has anyone experienced this problem? Has anyone found a solution?
