I'm considering buying a Precision M3800 because it has a Thunderbolt 2.0/mini Display Port connection. I already own an Apple Thunderbolt display, and I want to make sure that this system will actually display video over that monitor, but my understanding is that many PCs are using Thunderbolt only for data transfer-- not video.
Also, the Apple display is Thunderbolt 1.0 while the M3800 supports Thunderbolt 2.0. I'm not sure if that's an issue.
Can anyone confirm if the Apple Thunderbolt display is a compatible external monitor for the Precision M3800 laptop?
