It's a common question -- but with a twist.
My Dell Precision M4600 has the bad habit of waking up by itself when I put it in my bag. Browsing through Internet sites I found info on software and hardware able to wake up a PC (wifi, lan, mouse) and turned all them off in Win7 and in BIOS. This has decreased the frequency of awakenings from hybernation but -- still my PC has kind of wake-ups when I move it from my desk to put it into my bag and vice versa. I said "kind of wake-ups" because sometimes it really wakes up, getting to the black password screen; some other times only the screen lights up but the PC remains at sleep (if I press again the power-off button it gets back to a full sleep). In all cases the PC gets very warm in a few minutes when it's in the bag.
I suspect that the accelerometer has some capabilities to turn on the PC. Can that be? How could I stop it? Any other idea?
