I've been having this issue lately where my computer screen will be fine before i go to sleep at night, and when i wake up in the morning and open it, the screen will have blue and green vertical lines running down it, and yellow and black along the edges. It greatly obscures what's on the screen, but you can still make out shapes. When I move my mouse to the side, i can see the shape of the dock pop up from the side of the screen. If i manage to scroll over the right part of my internet browser, the area it would take up turns a blank white.
The issue persists when the computer is restarted. I can see the windows logo booting up, but it is only shapes, and blue and green colors, with lots of vertical lines running down the screen and flashing. If i leave the laptop to sit for a while, eventually it flickers faster and faster before it all vanishes at once. It almost looks like the correct screen im supposed to be seeing breaks through all the vertical lines and colors, taking their place.
So overall it's not the biggest problem in the world, as it fixes itself normally, but what if one day it doesn't? I'd just like to know what's going on, and if there is a software fix I can do on it myself. Doesn't seem to me like a hardware issue, but if i knew what i was talking about, i wouldn't be asking the questions. Thanks in advance for the speedy replies.
