Dell makes a policy of putting off waranty issues until expiration of warranty.
I purchased their 'top of the line' Alienware and they shipped it without the options i paid for.
They me off until 6 months then said it was too late to ship back. They do not sell replacement parts for their top of the line system. They do not update nvidia drivers, yet have it locked so that only their drivers work. So a 'top of their line'gaming system cannot play games as their drivers are outdated. if you call their 'help'desk you get someone trained to put you off.
I used to recommend Dell to everyone and have influenced numerous sales. I have personally purchased many Dells for my and my family's use, this is the last one. Previously i could buy replacement keyboards, fans, many parts, but for my newest most costly one they sell... replacement battery and one 4gb ram stick.
Every time i call they tell me that i am not the registered owner, even though i am the initial purchaser and only owner ever of this system.
It all comes down to: they do not stand behind their product. It even seems they wont stand anywhere near it.
