Inspiron 14R Laptop -- Long-term effect of laptop touch-screen display contacting the keyboard?

I bought this new touch-screen laptop in Feb., 2014, and use it several times per day -- usually closed between sessions. I NEVER rest anything on top of it, nor do I carry it in an overstuffed bag or do anything else that would press down on the top cover when the laptop is closed. (I'm fairly obsessive on this.)  However, soon after the purchase, I began to notice (during regular screen cleaning with soft cloths) that peculiar marks were appearing on the screen very regularly; I would clean them off, and a work-session or so later they would be back. What's peculiar is that they're all arranged in horizontal rows across the screen. Eventually I realized that they line up with the lower and/or upper edges of the keys on some rows. With the computer on, I rarely see the marks because the display light washes them out -- but they are noticeable on some occasions of computer use.

IS THIS LIKELY TO LEAD TO DEAD PIXELS OR OTHER DAMAGE ON MY TOUCH-SCREEN? I HAVE A FEW WARRANTY MONTHS LEFT, SO NEED TO MAKE A DECISION SOON ON WHETHER OR NOT TO SEEK WARRANTY REPAIR/SERVICE.
