I'm using Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit and webcam was working fine in my dell n5110.
Few days ago It gave device insertion alert sound repeatedly for few minutes.
And I didn't plugin any device at that time.
Then it stopped without me doing anything. I couldn't think of the cause of that.
This happened few times after. Still the webcam was working.
Yesterday windows show up it as a unrecognized device. And webcam was not working.
I uninstalled and installed it few times via device manager and the result was same.
And now it's not working. Device Manager doesn't show anything even as an unrecognized device.
Dell webcam central shows 'please plugin a supported device' and web applications show 'Can not find camera'.
I've followed another post in this forum and I opened front cover, removed the mic cable from the socket and the plugged it back.
Still it didn't help.
Hope someone can help me with this issue.
Another thing, I don't know weather mic and webcam work together. I've checked the mic and it's working fine.
