XPS 13 (9333) Recovery

Hello,

I bought an XPS 13 Developer Edition (DE) in august and I'm very pleased with it. However, yesterday two consecutive freezes during boot resulted in a corrupted partition which was fixed using fschk. Some problem persisted with grub though so I decided to just go on and wipe the hdd and setup ubuntu from scratch (I was bound to do it at some point).

I have tried vanilla Ubuntu 12.04.5 and several devices where not working as before. Then I installed the sputnik-precise-amd64.iso and most things work as before but the graphics device (Intel 4400) is not recognized any more and there are some glitches and lags here and there. Definitely not how it worked previously. From what the relevant documentation says, this .iso is not purposed for the version of XPS 13 9333 to begin with.

I realize that wiping everything (excluding the DELLUTILITY partition) was not the right way to go but I could not find instructions on how to use the recovery.

My question: Is there any place I can find and download an image that is the same as the one that came from the factory? Or at least, where can I get the drivers and packages for it? I just want to revert it to the way it was when it came from the factory.

Considering that you pay so much to get the entire development environment etc, is it not reasonable to argue that the setup and drivers should be available to download for repair if necessary?

Vassilis
