NVidia Quadro 3D and Linux

Hi all,

Anyone have any experience getting Nvidia 3D vision working on a Dell Precision M6800 under Ubuntu?

I recently bought a Dell Precision M6800 with Ubuntu installed and an NVidia Quadro K3100M. My goal was to use it for 3D using the NVidia 3D Vision 2 system but I could not get the 3D to work. From what I have read online, 3D Vision requires the emitter to be plugged in to the graphics card directly. I don't think that is possible on this laptop. Is there some other way to get the NVidia 3D to work?

The NVidia website has a list of Quadro cards that work with linux and some of them are marked as not needing the emitter to be plugged in directly for 3D Vision Pro. But the K3100M is not on the list at all so I don't know if it is needed or not.

Thanks
