I have my trusty 4700 misbehaving coming out of sleep mode. The original graphics card was the AMD Radeon something or other, I forget :). A couple of weeks ago, the graphics card died and Dell replaced it with the new 7700M.
I use an external monitor to bolster my screen real-estate. At home, I have a Dell 1920x1080 lcd that I connect via Display Port. At my lab, I have a Samsung 1920x1200 lcd that has an HDMI interface. If I'm connected to the Dell, it correctly detects the DisplayPort panel coming out of sleep mode. In other words, if I'm in the middle of something at the lab, I can sleep, disconnect, then reconnect at home- all is well.
However, if I am at home, sleep, then resume in the lab, the external interface is not detected. It's like the HDMI has been disabled.
If I reboot, all is well.
Any ideas?
