I am not able to connect my 3D tv with my XPS 15 (L501X)

I have tried it many times but all my attempt had gone in vain.
whenever i try to connect it Tv shows not signal...in screen resolution tab it shows my tv  as 2nd display but still its of no use...i have tried all duplicate,Extend and projector only mode via Function plus f2 key but it did't help me either...only my display in laptop was changing and Tv was still showing No signal.
plzz help...
