Inspiron N5010 Display Problem

So, I've looked for a while and haven't been able to find another laptop like mine with the same problem. 

I have tried unplugging and plugging in the LCD Video Cable on the monitor side and under the keyboard to see if it was as simple as a connection issue. The computer sometimes starts up to windows, sometimes the screen just goes white. It was an impact that made the screen stop working in the first place so I figured it was just a broken screen, but it doesn't look like that. Also, not sure if I'm doing it wrong but I can't seem to connect it to an external display. And after I made sure the connection was secured, the screen no longer flickers when I adjust the screen angle, but it did before. Thank you!
