I have a Latitude E6420 laptop with intel HD 3000 video and nvidia nvs 4200m video with 512M. If I run PerformanceTest, even during the 3D test it says it's still using the intel video. In bios I can force it to use nvidia. If I then rerun the PerformanceTest it says video test are running the nvidia video but the results are a good bit worse than the intel video. Can this actually be right? Why would dell bother including it? Why did I pay extra for a laptop with a video card? I've often been told the general operations besides video would run a little faster with a video card because the memory isn't time shared with video. Nope. All the processing and memory test are the same either way. What gives?
Thanks.
