I work for a small computer company and a customer came in with a cracked LCD screen and requested us to replace it.
Easy enough usually but after the screen swap I turned it on and was surprised to see 4 duplicate screens separated by small fuzzy gray lines. Each screen is 1/4 of the screen about and displays exactly the same thing.
Making this even more interesting, this only happens when the power cord is plugged in. Only thing I can think of is somehow the power from the charger is crossing over the video chip on the motherboard and causing the problem but that wouldn't explain why it only happened after replacing the screen and I would still have no idea how to go about fixing this problem.
Just trying to get this computer done and make a customer happy. Thanks for the help in advanced.
