Now before you say "This was already answered" here is my issue.
I got a Dell XPS for FREE yesterday figured out its the graphics card.
SO i tried the graphics card oven bake at 250F it worked for three tries,till
I figured out i had the HD ribbon cable upsidown,went to start it a 4th time graphics out again.
Meh. then i tried the hair dryer trick and it loaded half a screen then stopped again.
At this point its almost 12 AM..,....
The next day (today).
I oven bake it again at 350F(not the 392F that everyone talks about.
It works or at least is booting I can see the Dell splash screen bar loads,
BUT not all the way the HD never lights up, when its loading the loading bar moves but no HD light.
..It never loads past that. sometimes it'll load and have like 5% left other times it wont get past 5% loaded.
So at this point I'm looking online at cards 130$ new (currently). But i'm skeptical cause i fee like its something else now not just the graphics BUT here is my theory as to whats happening.
I heat the G card up it works but as it cools down it stops working so i"m thinking its taking too long to hook everything back up and starts to lose its "heat" and prevents the system from starting up.
Whats anyones input on this? Is the system even worth spending money on?
