I have a Dell Inspiron n5010 about 3 years old and the monitor seems to be malfunctioning. It will freeze up and then slowly turn white. The computer itself works fine as I can hear sounds and everything. I used to be able to jiggle the screen around a bit to get the screen working again but that has become less effective because now the screen will not function properly unless I hold it in a certain position. I am thinking it is a bad LCD cable and I was wondering if I should replace the LCD cable or the monitor in it's entirety.
