First off, I want to say I love Alienware computers, and currently own 4 Alienware laptops and 1 Dell laptop. After months of research, and reviews, I decided that Alienware wasn’t just a <ADMIN NOTE: Substitute character removed as per TOU> machine, it had great performance. I went online and proceeded to build a M14, personalizing it to my specifications. Once it arrived it was everything I had hoped for and more. After it was a little outdated I decided to upgrade, I bought a M11 for my son and a M17 for myself, and this is where my problems began which I’ll get to in a minute. Despite the problems with my M17, my son was graduating, so I decided to build him a M17 as well. That machine seems to be holding its own and running amazing, so my LEMON of a computer is just that, a LEMON. I also bought my daughter a regular Dell laptop as well. Now that you know my history with Alienware/Dell computers, and I’m not some random customer looking to get something for nothing, I’m going to express my concerns. The purpose of this review is essentially a hail marry pass. This will see how much of a valued customer I really am, I’m tired of wasting my time and yours. With that said, onto my dilemma…

After installing Diablo 3 I noticed I was having lag spikes while playing the game. Being a new game I just assumed it was server lag. After a few months I can’t take the lag anymore and decided to see how my FPS were. After monitoring my FPS, I noticed the spikes were 1-10 FPS then it would jump to 90 FPS. Decided to call customer support and they diagnosed the computer as a bad graphics card. New one came and installed in less than 5 days, wow what great service I though... Problem didn’t go away, a new tech diagnosed the problem as something else. New part came in and installed less than 5 days, again great service. Same problem, new tech wanted me to ship the computer off to factory so they can run diagnostics on it, ok sure.… Computer came back with the same problem. After a few more house calls I ended up shipped the computer off for the second time to receive it back STILL BROKEN… Being in the military it was time for me to deploy, so the trouble shooting would just have to wait till I returned. When I returned home I continued the process of getting my computer fixed. Well because there was a lapse in servicing of the computer, they think it was running great and decided to start off as though nothing has ever happened. So they send me a graphics card and a fan, once again kudos on the fast delivery/install. Computer STILL BROKEN. I get a new tech once again that talks me into sending them my computer for the third time ensuring me they diagnose the computer at the factory. Not in the mood to argue I go along with it, sending the computer off to the factory. Upon receiving the computer I’m like a big kid, palms sweaty, heart beat racing, could it be, did the finally fix it…. NO, please tell me im dreaming, could it be that every time I have sent my computer off it was for show? What do they do at the factory, seal it to make it look like they did something to it? I mean seriously you would think that they would turn the machine on and run someone kind of diagnostic tests. Maybe heat test the machine to make sure everything is running smooth before sending it back off. I mean come on, the amount of time I have wasted and the amount of time and money Dell’s customer service has wasted could of gotten me a new machine. So I get on the phone once more, which feels like the 100th time btw to get a technician tell me I have a bad CPU and fan. I’m so done with having this computer fixed and worked on that I’m in the process of working my way up the Dell chain of command for a new computer. But because of my deployment/pause in having my computer fixed they are telling me that they can’t replace it, they have to throw more countless hours/parts into it. Well I’m telling you enough is enough, it’s time for someone to go to bat for this player and replace my computer.

If you are someone who can help me this is my computer information… I'm tired of having my computer fixed, time for a replacement!
