Ok. Here's an issue.
I have Dell XPS 17 laptop (L702x) with i7-2670qm processor. I also have discrete NVIDIA GT555M video.
Intel site or the info on the web tells me that I should have an Intel HD video graphics card built-in my processor. But I don't see it anywhere on the list - not in device manager, not in a PC price list from my store. When I try to install drivers via exe file it says "your computer does not meet minimum system requirements", when I try install it using "Have Disk" method, it installs, but then I got error message in device manager saying that Windows can't load driver. I thought that this should be technical issue and gave my laptop to a local Dell warranty Service provider and they decided to order a new motherboard for my laptop.
Yet here I am, sitting with a new motherboard and still experiencing the same problem.
BIOS is A19, my OS currently is Windows 8 pro (64 bit, duh), but the same problem existed on Windows 7 64-bit too. I have tried uninstalling or reinstalling Intel and Nvidia drivers, including Intel chipset, both original and Dell versions in many different orders.
I never had a fresh OS, only Win7 from beginning and later upgraded to Win8. So my next move would be formatting my hard drive and installing my Win8 again on a clean drive (with reinstallation of all drivers, offcource). Can anyone suggest anything? Is it possible that my CPU does not have integrated video at all? Which drivers should I use, Dell only, or original are good too? And offcource, one more time - in which order should I install drivers for them to work?
