Is it TOO much to ask??

Come on Dell, when are you going to really start listening to your customers? Only to be future non-customers. Yes, I am referring to; once again brought up for the umpteen times, the hundreds of thousands of posts on this board of faulty switchable graphics cards. We tell you that they don't work properly, and you come back with some technical jargon, way above our heads, with something like uninstall and re-install the video drivers. Wow!  What a profoundly clever and brilliant idea! Some even post that they have already performed this procedure, and they are once again advised to execute this process. Only this time it will surely work 100% because a Dell rep told us to do it. Then the vicious cycle of rinse and repeat starts with you guys. We still claim it isn’t working properly, and you tell us to rinse and repeat.

Why won’t you fix this? Why won’t you unlock the bios so we can over-ride the default graphics card to the one we would prefer to use? Why won’t you write a program that will give us the choice which graphic card we want to use? Why even put the Intel graphics card in as the integrated card, or in at all? Why won’t you do something???

Instead it is so much easier for you to turn a blind eye to our plea to get something that we paid for, and many of us feel we are not. We do uninstall and re-install, we do tell the Catalyst control to use high performance, and it still doesn’t function as you, the Dell Company, told us it would when you so readily sold it to us. However we your consumers, are telling you that it does not work, and we have tried ALL of your suggestions. They are not working, period. So please stop with the insulting technical replies of uninstalling and re-installing. Most of us have already done that long before we even posted on the board.

We are not trying to bother you, create problems or put you out in any way. However, we have tried the small fixes on our own, and we are getting nowhere. So we turn to you, the company that created the product, and ask for your help, and we are ignored. Why have you locked the bios down so we can’t even do changes in that?

After scouring over the forums, trying to find a solution to my problem, oh yeah, the switchable graphics card that doesn’t work, I for one feel like I have, and everyone else who has this problem, been shunned by the technical people who should be helping us in making our desktops and computers a pleasurable experience. This has been a problem for years now according to the dates on the posts, and Dell still refuses to acknowledge that there is even a problem. Well we, your paying customers are telling you that there is.

I have never seen a company so willing and ready to throw away their consumers, because I can tell you that unless this problem gets fixed, my next computer will not have Dell stamped on it. This is my first Dell and soon to be my last one.
