I have an intermittent web cam on an Inspiron 4010. I uninstalled Dell Webcam Central using Revo Uninstaller and then I installed v. 2.01 of Webcam Central. But more often than not when I try to use the webcam it turns on for just a few seconds (LED on bezel lights up), and then it shuts off.
Web cam never seems to work the same way twice. Sometimes it works fine with an external display but not with notebook display or vice-versa. I've tried unplugging all USB peripherals in case there is some kind of conflict, but that seems to have no effect.
My OS is Win7 64 bit. Is there anything else I can try?
