Laptop Screen goes Black during game play

Dear Forum,

I have a Dell latitude D610 with 1 GB Ram,Intel Mobile Display Driver and Windows XP  SP 3 installed. The problem i have is that during game play of Desert Storm Baghdad, the game does not start. It flickers the screen a couple of times and then the screen goes black. When i go to the task manager the game appears to be running but in the processes tab, it is not running at all. i even tested the direct x and it was working fine. Only AGP texture rendering was not enabled.Please help me understand why this happens and what recommendations I could do to solve this problem.
