Laptop Sleep mode issues DELL INSPIRON 7537

Hi, I have tried numerous times to get this Dell Inspiron 7537 Laptop working properly. Updated all the drivers, rolled back all the driver, updated some but not others, etc. This machine is finicky, and Dell seems more interested in saving face through kind social formalities than getting the machine to work properly. I originally had an issue with the auxiliary headphone jack, where there would always be a humming and buzzing sound, turns out the Driver Dell suggests is what caused the problem, so I rolled back the driver and fixed this issue. Not thanks to Dell. All Dell customer support told me was to "update your driver", which was the wrong advice. The NEW PROBLEM! So now I hope someone can help me fix another issue. The problem's occur when the computer is 'woken' up from 'sleep mode'. The first scenario, (which I can live with but is still annoying) is that the keyboards functions (fn) change automatically from "multimedia key" to "function key", when the computer wakes from 'sleep mode'. To resolve this I have to enter "windows mobility center" and from under the heading "customized by dell" change the "Fn key behavior" back to "multimedia key" from "function key". Issue is kind of resolved. The more problematic issue that I'm facing is that at other times, the machine will go into 'sleep mode' and when I try to 'wake' the machine from 'sleep mode' and the screen does not turn back on. Yes the computer is on, or the hard drive at least (also the keyboards backlight is visible) but no screen! I then have to do a hard reboot. really annoying. Hope someone can relate and give a hand.
