So I seem to be having a problem with my switchable graphics procedure on my Alienware 17x. Specifically, it's like it doesn't know about the second (high performance) card. The better card still shows up in Device Manager, and if I remove it, it re-installs the driver the next chance it gets. I've updated to the most recent AMD driver, and the driver installation software found the card without difficulty. However, when I try to run any diagnostics against the high performance card, only the secondary one shows up. Additionally, when I right-click on the Catalyst Control Center (CCC) in the systray, it shows 2 lines for the Intel 4000, and none for the AMD 7970.
Obviously any time I do anything that should be making use of the high performance card, it's stupid choppy, and I can't play games or use high performance graphics at all. Even little things like minimize window animations lag significantly.
