Hello, I am considering buying the Dell Precision m3800, the one with the 15.6" UltraSharp™ IGZO QHD+ Touch(3200x1800). I need it to be able to connect to it at least 2 of my 30'' monitors (Dell U3014) with 2560x1600 resolution on both of them.
According to the specs, this is the video card of the laptop: Nvidia® Quadro® K1100M, w/ 2GB GDDR5
So I go check the specs of this card to its official website, and it says the following:
"The all-new display engine in the NVIDIA Kepler GPU drives up to four displays simultaneously, whether they’re directly connected to the board or connected using a single cable using DisplayPort 1.2’s new multi-streaming capabilities. With support for the next-generation DisplayPort 1.2 standard, each DisplayPort connector is also capable of driving ultra-high resolutions like 3840x2160 @ 60 Hz with 30-bit color. - See more at: http://www.nvidia.com/object/features-mobile-workstation-gpus.html#sthash.TSEC44V4.dpuf"
So at first place I thought that this laptop should be fine for my purpose. However, on the specs of the laptop, for the standard IO Ports I only can see the following:
1xHDMI, 1xmini Displayport, 2xUSB 3.0 with PowerShare (the rest of them are card readers or usb 2.0)
HDMI cannot show resolutions of more than 1920x1080, so that leaves me a mini Displayport. I Assume that if i get something like this (http://www.amazon.com/Accell-B143B-007J-UltraAV-DisplayPort-6-6-Feet/dp/B00A7R9I22) I will be able to connect a U3014 with 2560x1600 resolution.
But how can I connect a second one with that res.? None of the other ports look suitable for it.
Thanks in advance.
PD: Sorry for my english :)
