My Dell XPS M2010 Laptop worked fine for years until it got to the end of it's extended warranty. Then it started going through video cards every several months. Dell took it back to depot and replaced them 3 or 4 times even after my warranty was over and I am grateful. However I just went through another one which I sent out to be repaired. It lasted 7 operating hours after it came back. Am afraid to put in new one. Can't afford this but love computer whuch was only made for a very short time. (21" screen etc.)
I don't think I am the only person experiencing this and wonder if anyone has a solution. The heat sink on the video card is extremely hot but fans appear to cycle off and on normally as far as I can tell. I have not tried a Bios upgrade or any special cooling.
Would appreciate and insights or help.
